To make it even easier to use the German eID with online ID function in popular web Applications for strong authentication and identification ("eID-Login") in the future, the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has commissioned ecsec GmbH to develop corresponding integration components ("eID templates"). These components are provided as open source and can be conveniently installed via the respective Application directories. In the meantime, the eID login has been realised for eID-Login für Nextcloud, Wordpress and TYPO3. In connection with the SkIDentity service provided free of charge as part of the project, the German eID with online ID function can now be used free of charge for the secure eID-based login.
